Set up biometric protection in BlackVoice Technologies to secure your conversations with fingerprint or Face ID authentication.
## Why Biometric Protection? Passwords can be guessed, stolen, or forgotten. Your fingerprint is unique and always with you. BlackVoice Technologies uses WebAuthn-based biometric protection to add an extra layer of security. ### Setting Up Biometric Protection 1. **Go to Security Settings** 2. **Enable Biometric Protection** 3. **Verify with fingerprint/Face ID** 4. **Set backup PIN** (for fallback) ### What Gets Protected - **Private Chat PIN**: Lock specific conversations - **Smart Chat PIN**: Extra protection for sensitive chats - **Personal Notes PIN**: Secure your private notes ### Three Independent PIN Systems BlackVoice Technologies uses three separate PIN systems: 1. Each has independent attempt tracking 2. 30-minute lockout after 5 failed attempts 3. Security alerts after 3 failed changes ### Best Practices 1. Use different PINs for each system 2. Don't share your PINs 3. Keep your biometric sensor clean 4. Enable fallback PIN for emergencies
